Job Description

Our government client is currently seeking an ATIP Officer with the following requirements:

 

-Bilingual (oral, reading, writing)

-Secret Security Clearance

 

DUTIES

 

The Contractor will provide executive level support for the ongoing tasks and special projects under the responsibility of the Director, Access to Information and Privacy Secretariat. They will also provide recommendations regarding disclosure of records requested under the Acts.

CONDITIONS

 

For the period of the contract, the contractor:

  1. must  be able to coordinate multiple activities under tight deadlines and work under pressure and to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
  2. will work up to a maximum of three days per week;
  3. must be able to work between 7:00am and 6:00pm;

 

MANDATORY CRITERIA

 

EDUCATION

 

·       Candidate must have a secondary school diploma.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Experience* in all of the following areas:

 

  1. Processing requests under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act

 

  1. Policy development in relation to the ATIA and the PA.

 

  1. Use of ATIP software such as AccessPro or ATIPXpress.

 

  1. Providing advice to senior management.

 

 

* Minimum of 5 years

 

Must demonstrate the ability to provide the MANDATORY experience required in

  • Processing of requests under the ATIA and the PA
  • Policy development as pertains to the ATIA and the PA
  • Use of ATIP software
  • Providing advice to senior management.

 

Or other experience in areas such as:

  • Training and Development
  • Complaint resolution
