Our government client is seeking for Record Management Clerk-General-advanced.
STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTS

IN ADDITION TO THE PWGSC REQUIREMENTS IN THE CLASSIFICATION WEBLINK, THIS OFFICE ALSO REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
The MCU has a requirement to backfill a clerical position at the advanced level. Basic Temp Help employment has been tried in the past to backfill a similar position and it was found that the knowledge and expertise did not meet the requirement of the position. The position deals with Senior Management on a daily basis, is required to receive direction from the Minister’s staff and relay it accurately to the appropriate staff within the MCU. The candidate is also often required to backfill for another employee in the Minister’s office and is required to answer inquiries over the phone and forward the calls to the accurate staff. This position is critical to the appropriate level of functioning in the Registry as much work is coordinated at that level and issues are often identified at the beginning and the end of the process which is the Registry office.
DUTIES OF THE RESOURCE:
Provision of correspondence registry services for the Office of the Minister of National Defence and the Minister’s Correspondence Unit, Directorate Strategic Corporate Services.
Receives, prioritizes, sorts and classifies Ministerial Correspondence and provides security classification of documents.
Creates files, labels, form letters, retrieves files and inputs data into tracking systems.
Performs file maintenance in related electronic tracking/filing systems
Compiles statistics related to correspondence volume and subject areas and assists in the maintenance of data collection and retrieval systems used in preparing responses and tracking correspondence.
Reviews information/data in central registry files to ensure internal procedures and standards are adhered to and produces daily, weekly and ad hoc statistical reports.
